Depot renovation work started in September 2003 we will try to keep a photographic record here. Photos are thumbnails, to view photo click on it to expand. The above photos show the writings on the wall of the depot. Every effort is being made to preserve these writings. The one wall shows dates of 1/31/99 which is believed to be 1899. John Carter the superintendent has his name on the wall. An older date was found indicating the depot may be older than we thought, the initials LLG and 1886 was found on the original wall. The floor of the depot was much deeper than believed, see the picture showing the brick and stone base. Depot renovation update as of January 8, 2004. March 3, 2004 Update First picture viewing inside from group meeting room, area where commemorative bricks will be laid, new caboose foundation and handicap ramp going into group meeting room/museum exhibit. July 23, 2004 estimated date of completion late August. First picture is the newly painted caboose, new kitchen, meeting room, paint being stripped, new parking lot, ticket room left side and ticket windows.
